Clients accessing this service can either be formally referred from a local agency of organisation or self-referral.  Assistance in the form of food only and must be picked up from Countrywide.  Telephone 8405 3701 or 0411 394 494 Monday to Friday for an appointment, address will be given once appointment is made.

Northside Community Care

31–61 McCleans Road, Bundoora

Will provide non-perishable food and toiletries, you can drop in any time, there is no appointment necessary.  This service is only available on Tuesdays from 9.00am – 3.00pm.  ID is required to prove that you live in the City of Whittlesea.

Plenty Valley Uniting Church

180 McDonalds Road, Epping

This is a drop in service that operates on Saturday’s from 9.00 am – 11.00 am.  Health Care or Pension cards are required.  Food vouchers, parcels and bread are provided.  There are no appointments necessary but only the first 15 people will be seen.

Salvation Army Plenty Valley

Cnr Morang Drive & Fred Hollows Way, Mill Park

This service runs 9.30 am – 12.30 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Appointment is necessary and should be made Tuesday at 9.00 am.  A pension or health care card plus proof of income statement provided by Centrelink must be presented.  This service provides food parcels and vouchers, and Telstra vouchers when available.

St Luke’s Outreach

Provides assistance to residents of Thomastown and Lalor only (within the boundaries of St Luke’s Catholic Parish).  Clients or agencies can ring for an appointment between 9.00 am – 11 am Tuesdays and Thursdays on 9465 2180.

St Vincent de Paul

Will do home visits at various hours of arrangement.  Home visits are done by volunteers through local conferences with boundaries in line with Catholic Parishes.  Phone: 1300 305 330 between 10 am – 3 pm, Monday to Friday.  Their Primary Source of assistance is food parcels, but other needs may be able to be provided through the home visit.

Whittlesea Community Connections

Administers Emergency Relief to residents of the City of Whittlesea this program provides short term emergency relief and a referral service to people in crisis and assistance is in the form of a cash-cheque.  Appointments for the whole week are taken each Monday morning at 9.00 am by telephoning 9401 6666.  While all appointments for the week are made at this time, information about other emergency relief services or community organisations that can assist clients available Monday to Friday during business hours (9.00 am – 5.00 pm).
