Job Network

Job Network organisations help people of all ages to find work, however to be eligible for the service you need to have left or finished school. Centrelink is the gateway to the Job Network. For more information about the Job Network, contact your local Centrelink or Job Network
provider.

You can view all the jobs available to the Job Network and Centrelink on the Centrelink touch screens through the Internet at www.jobsearch.gov.au

Job Network organisations provide different levels of service, depending on the client’s needs.
These services are:

Job Search Support

Gathering employers’ vacancies and matching registered people to these jobs. To be eligible you can register with one or more Job Network providers. Some providers will assist you with job resumes and provide access to fax facilities to send resumes.

Intensive Support

One on one help for long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged jobseekers to address any employment barriers and place them in jobs. Eligibility: Centrelink to determine if eligible.

Job Search Training

Providing training in job search skills (resume writing, interview skills, etc) to prepare unemployed people for jobs and give them the skills and confidence to perform well when speaking to employers. Eligibility: Must be registered as unemployed.

Customised Assistance

If after 12 months you are still unemployed, your Job Network Provider will assist you with more specific services to suit your individual needs.

Job Network Card

Centrelink or your Job Network member will issue you with a Job Network Card, which will contain your job seeker ID number. It is important to keep this card with you when visiting your Job Network provider, so staff can easily access your information and match you to
jobs.
